Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Kat Ryals is a visual artist, photographer, and educator who now resides in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. In 2013, Ryals moved to New York to pursue a Master of Fine Arts at Brooklyn College. Motivated by her passion for museums and material culture, Ryals decided to enroll in the newly created Museum Education course in her final semester at Brooklyn College. Interested to learn more about public programming and audience engagement, she continued the program and recently completed the Advanced Certificate in Museum Education in 2016.
